ENGLISH IN ACTION

A WEEK OF BRITISH LIFE & CULTURE IN 4C

Where do school uniforms come from? Do English people really eat mushrooms for breakfast? How old is Queen Elizabeth II? What have lions got to do with English football? Why should I be extra careful when visiting the Cliffs of Moher? What’s a Russian Egg Roulette?

You don’t know? Well then go and ask the boys and girls in 4c.

You could also ask their parents, because they’ve been told by their kids in a legendary show on Friday, 28th June.

What their parents could not see during the show but what some of the boys would have wanted them to see: an extreme ironing competition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njHE4S-HD3I), a snail race (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9892tAngxwg), nettle eating championships (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW1qs3Gz30I)

What their parents could see: their excited, hard-working and at the same time happy kids.
